MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped him break into mainstream Latin music. His 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in 2017. He released ADN, his first long-player in the name of La Industria Inc. in Medellin. The album peaked at the rank of eight places on the Top Latin Albums charts. Following that year, he collaborated with Ozuna for the Top Five smash Vaina Loca. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel for Mala Influencia and released the album Dopamina the next year. He appeared in 2021 in a duo performance with TINI for her hit online single Maldita Foto. The hit song La Bachata from 2000 was first released in 2023. Turizo came from a musical family both his parents are both musicians. Turizo has told interviews that music is an essential part of his life. As a child he learned to play ukulele, saxophone as well as piano. His first choice of career was to be a vet, his brother Julian got him to attend singing lessons from a Cuban.
