Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico with a family that was devoted to music. She was raised listening to classic and old boleros, and classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana loves tangos as well the dramatic and opera performances. Ana began learning and singing music with her mother, then began more intense vocal training at the age of 16 under the renown Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. She furthered her training in music at the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. The beginning of her professional career saw her perform with many chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara. After moving from Mexico to the United States at the age of 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She has performed solo Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She has been involved with a number of local projects, both as a teacher and performer, because of her love for music and arts. Ana is a previous participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as well being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana thanks Inland Master Chorale members for the permission to sing classic Latin American song.
